	Peter Hi, my name is Peter Nurman and I have been an Alanis fan since 1995. I have 3 of her Albums and also have a few singles, and imports. Also I have an Alanis T-Shirt and two (2) Alanis posters. I have been to three (3) Alanis concerts and each I have gone to have gotten better each time. Over the years for me (and I am sure for others) Alanis has been a sense of positive release and she has through her music has added if not lead me to better understanding of the whole "grand scheme" of this confusion which we call life. Through the years I have dedicated two poems to her and also as the years. During the time frame of Jagged Little Pill to her break 16 month trip to India, to Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie I have had three (3) dreams about her which I met her face to face and we talked about life and general things. The conversation environment I had with her ranged from restaurants (I think this first part of my dream was mainly a 'getting to know about her spiritually') to me rollerblading with her (we talked about our interests and siblings, ect...) and finally I meditated with her (she showed me around her house, I'm not sure how accurate I am with the objects in her house). 	Sarah Okay.....I have loved Alanis Morissette and her music since my first encounter with the bone chilling lyrics of "You Oughta Know". I love everybody and everything especially my friends, I love snowboarding, surfing, singing, playing the harmonica and guitar, I love associating with different people of different cultures and could be described at a very optimistic and open-minded kind of person and I do my best to enjoy life in general because I strongly believe that life is not a dress rehersal. Within the next 5-6 years I would love to become a qualified radio broadcaster and in the long-term be happy and successful. Favourite food - tofu stirfry and favourite lollie - anything with sherbet!! Other music I like is Pearl Jam, Midnight Oil, U2, The Fauves, The Pixies, Jeff Buckly, Old Silverchair stuff, Collective Soul, Faith no more, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Smashing Pumpkins and Blink 182 but Alanis, her music and her fans are my nuber 1# favourites. 	Amanda I think the fact that I've seen alanis 22 times live, ended up in the hospital 6 of those times for the extremes I've gone through (hypothermia 3x, 2nd degree burns from waiting in the sun, broken arm at woodstock, etc) to see her, drove 38 hours straight to see the Vagina Monologues and got detained at the US border because they didnt believe that I would drive that far and have no idea excatly where I was heading.. (all I knew was that it was in New York but I had no idea where and didnt have a ticket to prove I was going, went to her very first promotional show when Jagged Little Pill hadnt even been released, went to the Juno's twice with fake press passes and got backstage to meet her, have huge parties dedicated to her on her birthday and on march 8th to celebrate alanis morissette day, drove forever to get to Ottawa and called all the morissette numbers in the phone book and went to her parents house etc etc. I have so many stories about my alanis journeys that are pretty unbelievable. She is my passion. Though it sounds like I'm some crazed stalker I'm really not, I'm very much sane, just totally dedicated. Trust me... I'm not crazy! lol Other interests??? 	Oliver He works for the border police in Germany, he's 28, does a lot of sports like climbing, rollerblading and athletics, and he does fantasy roleplaying as well. His favorite music is Alanis, Skunk Anansie, Pearl Jam, Natalie Imbruglia and Die Aerzte. 	Sheri Hinton My name is Sheri Hinton, and i haven't really gotten into alanis until recently, when i saw her live for the first time during the 5 1/2 weeks tour in 2000 with tori amos. i went to see tori, and when alanis came on, i was blown away. she gave me the biggest goose bumps i've ever had. now she's right up there with tori out of all my preferences. now every time i listen to jagged little pill, i've gotta sing right along with her at the top of my lungs. anyone'll know i've been listening to her when my voice is practically gone afterwords. my favorite songs so far are "uninvited" from the city of angels soundtrack, and "still" from the dogma soundtrack. 	Jay Cusack Heya! My name is Jay, I am 22 years old and live in Oklahoma City (not the most exciting place but hey...it works). I am originally from outside of Philadelphia and I tend to move around alot (just stuck in Oklahoma of all places...). I have been an Alanis fan since 98 but I have often liked her music way before then but never really gave her a serious listen until very recently actually...so I am technically an Alanis "newbie". I am an author, writing is and has been one of my greatest passions. I have just recently completed the first draft of a manuscript that I hold dear (but editing it...yea...help :-) ). My book is the story of my so-called-messed-up life (in short it is my memoir....yea a memoir at 22 go figure). It is based on how music and lyrics have touched my life during the rough times and during the happy times and is heavily based on the lyrics of Alanis. Out of 38 chapters, I believe 21 of them are inspired by Alanis...each of which composed the Lyrics to a Soul (which is what the working title of my manuscript at the moment). Other than writing, I enjoy travel alot. I have been to several interesting places throughout my life and am always curious to see much more. I also like photography, storms (came to the right place for em :-) ), playing cards, singing, playing piano, volleyball, hanging out with my people and meeting new faces whether in person or online. 	Kat Hello. I'm 18, from the U.S. and my name is Kat. I've been an Alanis fan for quite a while now. I remember the first time i heard Alanis. My sister's first cd was jagged little pill and she was listening to perfect. i ended up taking over that cd and playing it almost none stop (cuz i was in school) for about three months. There's no one quite like Alanis is there. I have almost 60 rare songs on my computer if someone has audiogalaxy or would like me to send some to them personally. The songs include alanis and now is the time. the only one i'm missing is "Rain" if anyone has it. 	Dennis Alanis made me believe that there are somethings we don't need to look for, we've already are. We grew up, with a big craziness around us, a spirit which make us fell like running to get our own things, and do the best we could ... but if we notice it's not working, we stop, and this is not the point, maybe our bussiness is not to run. 	Felix My name is Felix Lee and I'm not one to usually want to take a picture with celebrities, as I am around them all the time. I work for a television network in New York City and when I found out that Alanis was coming to the show, my heart raced with enthusiasm. She not only represents a strong voice from our age group, but she is what I call a 'Light Worker'. She is one who, through her music and lyrical gift, is helping to raise the collective consciousness in an era that so needs raised awareness. This is the awareness of the fact that we are spirit beings having a human experience and that we are all interconnected. More than just a rock star with followings all around the world, she has dedicated her life to sharing her love and her gift with all and encourages all of us to share our special attributes as well, with the rest of the world. 	Patrick I first heard Alanis many years ago while having a lunch with my mother during the Christmas season. This was before her "Ironic" video came out---so, you hard core fans may know how far back that was. Anyway, the radio DJ announced this "new singer" out of Canada singing a common Christmas song--I think "The Christmas Song" (Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire). Doesn't matter, the song. What mattered was the voice---knocked me out. Some time later, I saw "Ironic" on MTV and she hooked me. Unfortunately, I lost track of her after that until last winter when my daughter gave me a copy of Under Rug Swept. Good God, I have played an album so many times over and over in my life. It is a perfect album. I am taken by it each and every time I play it. I am humbled by the genius of Alanis Morissette. Since then I have purchased a considerable amount of her releases and look forward to her future development. I say this as a professional musician who started playing blues and boogie piano in the mid 1950s--added harmonica to my music in the mid 60s. I have reached some level of world acclaim in my area of music, and still activly tour in the USA and abroad. I tend to be fairly hardcore about my tastes in music. For one I have never been into rock --never did as much for me as blues, jazz, and other music such as world music (especially pre-1960 world music), orchestral music (of all types). I'm a big fan of Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Duke Ellington, Howlin' Wolf, jump blues in general from the late 1940s-early 1950s, Marvin Gaye, James Brown, the Four Tops, Sergey Prokofiev, Maurice Ravel, John Cage, Ludwig Von Beethoven, Claude Debussey, Flamenco music, Egyptian music, and on and on---and Alanis Morissette. Just lately I wondered if Alanis has ever written a musical drama/comedy for a live stage production? She's a genius---of course, I'd love to meet her some time---as would all in this web site! 	Irina Alanis is a wonder... at least for me. When my life was going down the drain four years ago, her music was the thing that pulled me out. Since that I regected any other music... I simply can't her it. I would love to meet her someday, not even meet, but just to see her, but.... it's impossible of course. I am 27 years old, and i'm not doing this to meet any guys, just a hint to those of You using this "device" to service to your relationship needs.Alanis has been my inspiration not only as a musician but as a poet as well. I am a writer, if you can call me that, my work isn't exactly published but it is my life and i am working to get my writing published. I write fantasy novels in the vein of Marion Zimmer Bradley, Stephen Donaldson, and Jenifer Roberson. (The Mists of Avalon by MArion Zimmer Bradley was my inspiration.) I work at a BookStore (I am the highly ranked manager) which doubles as a coffee Shop to earn my monetary needs. Oh yeah and I live in Rome. I'm actually a minnesotan however I moved to Rome about a year ago. Alrighty back to Alanis. After discovering her she became my complete inspiration. Her writing intriuges me and her vocal and instrumental talents are beyond amazing. I do believe that she has taken the form of the great Pagan Goddess(but that's just me and my silly beliefs). I can not begin to explain my love of her, it is beyond words. You will rarely see me listening to anything but her. What I love about her music is that she has a song for every e motion, phase, etc. I am never short of something to listen to. It's as if I grew up with her, I've known all of her pains joys and stages of life which she so graciously absolved through her music. Her evolution through time echos clear through her music and that is why I love her. It's funny, i know someone so well and she has no clue of my existence.
